Gaming...

3 words:

WORLD OF WARCRAFT.

I'm not a gamer and don't know too much about it, so I will keep this brief.

My boyfriend's roomie is apparently addicted to WOW and I asked why one day and found out.

Apparently, the game stages many different 'wars' and virtual alliances (with people all over the world) are often REQUIRED (yes, required) to fight them.

When he told me that, I was a little astonished.

I guess my most major concerns are:
-who really has time to sit at their computer to play this game?? In an alliance, everybody's got to play when the time comes to fight--even if it's 3am where you live.

-and relative to our discussions of online identity, who are these people you are playing with??

Just questions. It looks like a fun game, but clearly illustrated to me that the days of single-player games are over.
